Our Team

Chris Kimbrell, Founder

Chris Kimbrell, the founder of Frontline Focus Foundation, medically retired from the Navy after 19 years and 12 combat deployments. In 2020, Chris retired from service and began his transition into civilian life. Chris’s extensive military career caused numerous mild traumatic brain injuries (mTBI) and debilitating PTSD, depression, anxiety and suicidal ideations. After being treated at one of the nation’s top neurological institutes, Chris found himself prescribed a myriad of pharmaceutical drugs that weren’t helping. As his health continued to decline, Chris began down the natural medicine path. Psychedelic medicine ignited radical change and significantly altered the course of Chris’s life. In addition to plant medicine, Chris’s meditation practice and brain-hormone optimization protocol have offered him a path to wellness.

Thanks to his healing journey, Chris attended Harvard Business School and graduated in 2022. In addition to his work at Harvard, Chris has been dedicated to working with natural medicines, building a meditation practice and serving others through his work as a meditation teacher and transformational life coach.

Charles Murphy, Director of Community Outreach

Charles Murphy joins the team with a particular interest in bridging civilian healing with that of our veterans and first responders. A believer in a holistic approach, Charles learned first hand balancing the three pillars of mind, body, and spirit in his search for a harmonious life. A former college football player and operator in the military, he has experienced the difficulty transitioning from one community to the next, all while trying to heal from the physical and emotional ailments accumulated during his times as an athlete and operator. Practices such as breathwork, meditation, plant medicine, and nutritional and endocrine support, has given Charles a new way of living, and he is excited to share these gifts.

Upon leaving the service, Charles has interacted in the impact investment community, leaning on his expertise as a co-founder for two separate investment funds. He believes in creating a new paradigm in how capital should be used to propel a culture focused on ego, fear, and greed, into that of one of consciousness expansion and nourishment. During his time in the entrepreneurial space, he has realized that leaders in the impact space also need support, and believes that bringing both spiritually aligned entrepreneurial leaders into the same energetic field as our veterans and first responders can create a potent environment for healing and collaboration.

While assisting participants in healing practices, Charles is also currently studying at the California Institute of Integral Studies to receive his Masters in Integrative Health Studies, earning the privilege of being a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach.
